We provide comprehensive care that treats the whole child – and we’re working to build the permanent facilities they deserve.
📚 Quality Education
We are planning to establish a Central Primary School to provide free, high‑quality education. Meanwhile, we support over 160 children in local schools and rented classrooms, covering fees, uniforms, books, and a hot lunch so that no child is left behind.
🏥 Healthcare & HIV Treatment
Many of our children are HIV‑positive and lost their parents to AIDS. We ensure they receive life‑saving antiretroviral medication, regular health check‑ups, and nutritional support. Our partnership with local hospitals means no child misses their treatment.
🏠 Shelter, Food & Clean Water
We are raising funds to build safe dormitories and a loving home. In the meantime, we house children in rented accommodations, providing three nutritious meals a day, clean water, and hygiene supplies so they can focus on being children.

The children themselves describe how LIFFO has changed their lives.
"I want to become a nurse so I can help other children like me."
Namata lost both parents to HIV when she was six. She arrived at LIFFO weak and malnourished. Today she is one of the top students in her class. "Before, I used to cry every day because I didn't know where my next meal would come from. Now I have a family, food, and my medication. I love science and dream of becoming a nurse to care for sick children." Namata's smile is proof that with the right support, a child can rewrite their future.
"Here I learned how to read. My favorite book is about lions."
Joseph was brought to the foundation by a community leader after his grandmother, who was caring for him, became too ill. He had never attended school. "I was afraid to speak in class, but teacher said I am clever. Now I can read and write. They also gave me medicine and I feel strong. The food is good. I want to be a teacher when I grow up so other children can learn too." Joseph's journey from silence to confidence shows the power of a caring environment.

ABC News visited our foundation to document the life‑saving care we provide to HIV‑positive children. Patrick Ssenyondo shared how the foundation stepped in after the loss of both parents for many of these children, providing not only medication but a family. The story highlighted the resilience of our kids and the urgent need for continued support.
